While consumers who feel that way can't be faulted for doing so, they'll be missing out on a great game. Some people just want to load up a game and play with everything already there. It's a sufficient workaround but still requires work and many aren't interested in that being part of the deal. To help compensate, "PES 2017" offers the ability to edit teams and (only on PS4) share creations. ![]() The series lacks many of the biggest leagues and teams across the world, including the Premier League, Bundesliga and MLS from the U.S. The one big limitation to the series is in the licensing. It would be nice to see "PES" attempt to innovate with modes and features in the future as there's nothing that jumps out as being truly unique. "PES" offers up all the standard ways to play that consumers expect out of sports games, with a deep Franchise Mode called MyLeague, a team-building player-collecting mode known as M圜lub, and Become a Legend as its Career Mode. MORE: 'FIFA 17' takes big step with cinematic story mode Fouls are actually called, which forces more restrained play rather than rewarding recklessness, and goalies, while still "human," are more competent and have the ability to make big saves that would not have been seen before. ![]() The most common gripes had related to the lack of fouls and poor goaltending, and both have been addressed sufficiently. Gameplay has been a consistent strength of the series and this year the biggest improvements were made to the few areas that weren't up to par. The gameplay experience is phenomenal and well-suited to both novices and experts. Hopefully, issues are avoided because "PES 2017" plays a brilliant game of soccer.
